Established in 1987, L V Prasad Eye Institute in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, stands as a beacon of hope and healing in the field of ophthalmology. Founded by the visionary Dr. L V Prasad, our institute has grown into a premier eye care facility dedicated to eliminating preventable blindness through comprehensive clinical services, innovative research, and extensive training programs.
We serve over 200,000 patients annually from across Eastern India, offering a full spectrum of eye care—from routine examinations to complex surgical interventions. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 50,000 square feet and houses advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, including digital retinal imaging, optical coherence tomography, and femtosecond laser systems.
Our mission extends beyond treatment; we are deeply committed to community eye health. Through outreach programs in rural Odisha, we have screened more than 500,000 individuals and provided free surgeries to 25,000 underprivileged patients in the last five years. Our research division collaborates with international institutions on groundbreaking studies in corneal regeneration, genetic eye disorders, and innovative surgical techniques.
